How an order moves through the shop

From drawing to dispatch.

Drawing & material

Fabrication drawings, material test certificates and weld procedures are checked against the order before cutting starts.

Cut & roll

Plate is profiled and formed on site — cutting up to 155 mm, rolling up to 50 mm.

Fit-up & weld

Components are fitted and welded to procedure, including submerged arc welding up to 1,200 Amps.

Inspect & test

Dimensions, welds and NDT are checked against the drawing at the required hold points.

Coat & dispatch

Surface preparation, coating and match-marking are completed before loadout, moved by 60 MT E.O.T. crane.
